Problem Statement

Users operating Amara Raja battery systems had no centralized, accessible way to monitor battery health, performance, and diagnostics from their mobile devices — relying on manual inspection and hardware readouts that provided limited real-time insight.

Our Approach

Conducted user research with field technicians and end users to understand how battery monitoring was currently performed and which diagnostic insights mattered most. Designed a Bluetooth-first mobile experience that simplified hardware pairing and surfaced critical battery data in a clear, scannable format.

Challenge

Designing an intuitive mobile experience that bridges the gap between physical hardware and digital monitoring — making complex battery diagnostics understandable and actionable for users with varying technical backgrounds.

Solution

Delivered a Bluetooth-connected smart battery monitoring app with real-time health indicators, multi-battery management, diagnostic alerts, performance history tracking, and a guided hardware pairing flow — optimized for quick field use by both technical and non-technical users.

Outcome

Enabled real-time battery monitoring from mobile for the first time. Simplified the hardware pairing experience for non-technical users. Improved visibility into battery health and reduced reliance on manual inspection for routine diagnostics.
